In WordPress, a page is a standalone object. Pages do not appear in a stream. This feature is best used for content that is going to remain static or constant while on your website. An example best suited for a page would be a team listing or an “about” page.
Step 1: Log in to your WordPress site.
Log into your WordPress site. From the dashboard, click “Pages” in the left-hand sidebar.

Step 2: Create a new page.
The “Pages” user interface is similar to the “Posts” page in that you are able to view, import, export, and manage all of the pages on your website. To create a new page, click “Add New” at the top of the screen.

The “Add New Page” page offers a simple user interface to create individual pages. There are several features that can help you style, organize, and optimize your website’s content.
Page Content
The content of your page will be written using a simple rich text editor with styling options similar to other word-processing applications.

Enter a title for the page. Using the rich text editor, enter the page content and style how you wish. If pasting content from a separate document, use the “Past as text” option in the toolbar. Add visual appeal to your page by embedding images using the “Add Media” button above the toolbar.
Yoast SEO
Yoast SEO is a search engine optimization (SEO) and readability analysis plugin. There are many features you can use to ensure your content is tailored for the web.

Featured Image
This the image that will be the “face” of the written content. Some themes will display this photo in different styles.

Page Attributes
Customize and organize how your pages are displayed online using these tools.

Parent
Once you have created more than one page, you have the option to arrange them in hierarchies. For example, you could have a team listing page as a parent page and each individual team member’s own page as a child to it. There are no limits to how many pages can be nested within each other.
Template
Some themes have custom templates you can use for certain pages. These custom templates might have additional features or custom layouts. If available, they can be found using the dropdown menu.
Order
Pages are usually ordered alphabetically, but this option allows you to manually arrange your site. Entering a “1” will set that page as the very first. All numbers to follow will be arranged accordingly.
Step 3: Publish
This is where you can save, preview, and publish your page, making it the last step of the page creation.

Using the options included in the “Publish” category, change your page’s visibility settings, schedule the page to publish on a future date, and also check the quality of the readability and SEO.
Once you are finished making all the necessary changes to your new page, click the “Publish” button to make it live.
